Shot's ShoBro was presented to the Country Music Hall of Fame at a Ceremony on Friday, July 23 1999.  Friends
of Shot who attended the ceremony were: Johnnie Wright and Kitty Wells,
Marty Stuart, Connie Smith, Duke Cramer (Gretsch guitars), Buddy & Peggy
Emmons, Scotty, Mary, and Sandra Scott, Lloyd & Dot Green, Don Helms,
Weldon & Judi Myrick, George Edwards, Doug Jernigan, John & Jean Hughey,
Smiley Roberts, Dan Dugmore, Duane Marrs, Billy Robinson, Stu Basore,
Terry Miller, Ric Nelson, Perry Westland, Bernice Turner, Ed Thomas, Walt
Trott, and Gary Hogue.
OK, fellers, we did it! The Country Music Hall of Fame will be displaying Shot Jackson's personal 7 string ShoBro in a beautiful glass case right next to Buddy Emmons' derby and old Sho Bud guitar! This will be part of the permanent HOF exhibit, not a rotating exhibit, so it should be available to be seen (if not heard) by, and help inspire, tens of thousands of people each year.
