BIOGRAPHY

Chris McRae is an internationally acclaimed professional astrologer living in Edmonton, Canada. She has a lively consulting practice both in Edmonton and abroad, with a large client base and has been teaching locally since 1971.

For many years, Chris has been lecturing widely in at least a dozen different countries conducting workshops for astrological organizations and appearing on the faculty of the most prestigious astrological conferences worldwide including United Astrological Conference (UAC) , International Society of Astrological Research (ISAR) , National Council of Geocentric Research (NCGR), Astrological Association of Great Britain (AAGB) , Federation of Australian Astrologers (FAA), Organization for Professional Astrologers (OPA), American Federation of Astrologers (AFA), Northwest Astrological Conference (NORWAC), others in Europe and South Africa. She has also conducted enrichment lectures on board luxury liners in Asia, South Pacific and Alaska.

In 1982 she received the FCA Astrological Hall of Fame Uranus award for "Innovative Ideas and Outreach Nationally and Internationally". She was also a Regulus Award nominee which is the Oscars of the astrological world.

From 1972-1982 she taught a six-semester course at Grant MacEwan College which was the first college in North America to include Astrology in its Adult Extension Department. She now teaches courses at ten different levels, some through Metro College. Altogether she has been teaching for over 30 years. She founded, was President many times, and is now Honorary Life President of the Edmonton Astrological Society, has served on the Board of Directors of the AFA, AFAN, and is currently on the Board of UAC, Vice-President of ISAR, as well as Coordinator of ISAR Certification program.

To date she has published two books, "The Geodetic World Map", and "Understanding Interceptions; as well as being contributing author in "Astrology of the Macrocosm", and "How to Start, Build and Maintain an Astrological Practice." For over 8 years she also wrote a syndicated daily astrological column. She is currently working on a new book and would like to write many more but says it is a question of time. Her earlier career was in broadcasting and television production.
